What type of rock?

I found this rock the other day in a creek in North Georgia. Its a silver color and seem very dense. I put it under my MD to make sure it wasnt silver or another metal. It is stone cause it doesnt register as metal. I thought it was a piece of pottery cause it has silver specks in it. But it has a smooth texture and not gritty. Its not glazed. Any guesses would be great, thanks rock.

Looks like some mica schist to me.. Google image search that and see what you can find that's similar.. That's my guess from looking at the pics on my phone anyway..

It does look like it has mica in it by the sparkles. Isnt Schist kinda gritty to the touch though? I was wondering if it might be soap stone or steeltite? But I have never found that type before. Thanks for the response.

Well just from the pictures and a bit of info you provide I'm sold on either talc schist or mica schist.. Could be wrong but just my opinion..

Show us a fresh surface (break it open), to weathered to say much of anything.

Well I believe it is part of a stone bowl made by NA Indians. So breaking it is out of the question. Ill keep it and I believe the examples above show that he is rite. I just didnt know there was so many different types of Schist. Thank you for all of your help everyone.
