Hi Folks,

What was the first complete point that you ever found? Here is my first complete point I found and also the first pieice that I ever found. :icon_profileleft: That little broken point is the one that started this whole addiction to muddy fields for me back in the spring of 1996 :tard:. Guess ive only been huntin points for thirteen years now. I sure have had fun and made a ton of memories and discoveries. Anyway, if you still have em' , lets see em'!! Your first piece and your first complete piece! If you dont have em' anymore, thats O.K. , just tell us about em' . I'm just bored and thinking of warm weatherand muddy fields. Help me pass the winter time blues!! ::)

RPG,

Thats too funny!! I was born in the 70's ! You was pickin up points before I was even a thought. Man , I bet it was some good pickin in the 60's. Was there much competition?

thirty7,

I dont know what type you would call it , but I find em' up here too. I can remember the smell of spring when I think about pickin up points like that. Thanks for sharing.

Twig.

I'm like RPG, started around 65. Walked any field I wanted, hunted rabbits and pheasants on the same farms. Knew every good spot and most owners for miles around. Now its mostly built over, posted or in no-till. Sorry I can't remember my 1st. Wish I could!

I found my first whole point in the spring of 1965 at the age of 6. I had found numerous broken pieces that spring and once I found that first whole one I was hooked and have been looking ever since. This spring will mark 44 years of hunting artifacts in the fields of southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

This isn't a very good picture, but it's the only picture I have of my first complete find. The single point in the small tray is the first one I ever found complete. It is a small Lamoka Point and not very nice, but without that point I wouldn't have the other 15,000 artifacts I now have.

I really liked this thread and have finally gotten around to photographing my first.
I started finding points with my Dad when I was 7 or 8. I don't have any of those points.
I stopped going out with him when I hit puberty, you know new priorities.
Anyway ,when I turned 24 I decided to take up the search again. It took awhile
but eventually I found this one. I was thrilled. It's been 14 years of searching and great
fun since. , Harry
