What would you rather find?

A common silver quarter, or a 2 common silver dimes and a war nickle?

I would rather 3 digs than 1 myself, unless the 2 dimes and a nickle are in the same hole as the quarter, then the question would be a quarter 2 dimes and a nickle or a common half dollar

Much rather get the 2 dimes and silver war nickel myself. Much greater chance of finding a rarity.

This is true
Most silver Quarters have been cherry picked
a long time ago when detectors
first became popular.

so silver quarters are actualy rare finds

As someone who has dug exactly zero silver coinage in three years of detecting, I'll just hope for more good jewelry finds (I've had good luck there).

I would have never guessed there was a difference. I checked with coinflation and it's up to .38 today!

When I was a newbie detectorist, back in the 70's, I found my only silver dollar. My digging tool left a great big GOUGE across the obverse! Ouch! I'm a little more careful now. TTC
