What's a good detector for a kid (age 12)
So I want to get my son a detector for Xmas. He always asks to go with me and swings my excal 2 like a pro. Found the first ring with it. It has a straight shaft on it but he gets tired swinging it after about a half hour or so. I'd like to get him a good one that is light enough that he will be ale to swing it for a while. Since we have the excal 2 for water he wants one for land and dry sand. We will mostly hunt coins and beach jewlery. Price really doesn't matter and I'd rather spend more upfront for a quality detector that he can use for a few years. We live on the west coast so if we use it on the beach it will have to be able to handle black sand.... Won't be getting it wet but might get it close to the waterline once in a while. Thanks for the help.
