That's just great!! NOW we get this question and PBK doesn't post here much anymore. He would have had the answer. All I know is that some people here on earth were put here just so I could feel better about my own existance.
There are those that say there are no mysteries, no God, no hell, no heaven or no supernatural. I know I'm not a natural born genius and I'm not overly educated so I don't even have an educated guess but I can bring up one point that everyone would have to agree upon or, at least, ponder. There is no end to the universe. That's right folks, something with "no end"! Isn't that impossible? Maybe so. Then, if there is an end, what does it consist of, bricks? Then what is on the other side of the bricks? etc., etc., etc. And there are no mysteries?? Something is going on, you can be sure of that.
Well, break's over, back to the pyramid.

What do you think it's all for? What is the end purpose of our existence. Nothing? Something?

This answer is easy! We are here to experience punishment. We were being bad in Eden, and now we are paying the piper. YMMV.

I refuse to believe this...not saying you are wrong...but Adam and Eve were punished. Do we toil, yes...did I have pain in childbirth...only about an hour...beyond this .I feel that my husband and I are extremely blessed. God keeps his loving hands around us. He corrects us when we are wrong and constantly lets us know when we have it right...just like any good parent.

As far as the meaning of life...to choose who to follow and how to follow.

17 And unto Adam he said, ...cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground...

All humans are under the Genesis punishment from God. Many individuals/groups have lived very blessed lives, but none have escaped the Genesis punishment. Even Yeshua experienced frustration with a fig tree.

The Genesis punishment can be seen as being "lifted" when taking an overall view of salvation, but as long as we are living on this earth, we will experience the Genesis punishment.

You are right about the punishment of Genesis, and it will be thus until the earth is restored. But you missed one punishment - the serpent. Remember what his punishment was for his involvement in the fall?

I don't think the Original Poster was going in that direction. How about it OP? You want to know what punishment pertains to the serpent?

Or are you more concerned (at the moment) about why you are on planet earth?

I think we exist because it pleases God. And maybe with each new baby born, he thinks 'maybe I'll get it right this time.' And we could all be in some kind of Job game with God and Satan, so he keeps throwin more players in. And many times God is probably very disappointed in us, cause in spite of our best efforts, we fall short.

He knows the end from the beginning, so how could He think "Maybe I'll get it right this time"? ALL things are of him, both the light AND the darkness. But you're right, we do exist for His pleasure. And we do fall short.
