Hello, found this today in the mill race about 5 inches down. Any ideas, its made of brass, the wheels spin, about 6 inches long. Thank you! Paul :)

A tensioner of some sort ? Kind of reminds me of what was used as newspapers were being printed.

They look like the air vents found on the sides of older mattresses. Not sure why there would be two connect though... :dontknow:
