🔎 UNIDENTIFIED What is this?

Found among my parents' things - likely from early 20th century or earlier. Brass pendant is about 1.25 inches long with no markings on the back.

The brass piece is a fob. Not sure what the strap was for, a watch?

I doubt its a drum hanger - they had a swivel at the top and hooks at the base of the eagle to hang the drum from. There's no sign of those on the one I have. No swivel at the top either.

Maybe if we had a little more info on what we're really seeing, the eagle does appear to be brass, which is all the info we've been given at this point, but no info on what the other part is made of, is it leather or ?

The fob/pendant is brass. The reverse side is blank. The band does appear to be dark brown leather and appears to have been a wrist band. I do not have much information beyond that. It could have been my father's, which means it probably originated in the Richmond, Virginia area. If it was my mother's, then its likely it originated in eastern North Carolina. I know this is a long shot, but felt it worth a try.

I think the brass piece is indeed an old pocket watch fob, my guess is that it belonged to one of your parent's father or grandfather and your parent wore the fob on their wrist watch band as a memento of the relative.

If it were me I would attach it to my key ring as a memento of my parents!!
