What's the difference...

between the sword and the excal II battery back? Or is there any difference? I would like to have a spare as a back up. Minelab site say what they sell now is not for the original.

The pods are shaped differently, the sword battery pod wings/ears are square (90° sides)while the excal and excal II pod wings are like the top of a hexagon. (45° sides)...
