What's this i found.in my books

Like i said i have used minelabs since they first made detectors......This picture is on the back cover of my Winter 1995 Treasure Quest Magazine ....... And i was useing Minelabs 3 or 4 years before this...........

I have that same Excalibur, same headphones too. I like it!

I think it was a better detector than they make now........That Excalibur with the arrow on the side was one of the best............ A lot will not get rid of there Excalibur 1000 to get a new Excalibur ll ...... I have had every Minelab there except the Tribune , Sterling & Eldorado And i have owned every model of Sovereign they made..

Those ads caught My Eye,
But Confused me.

No internet here, to go on & ask.
so all I thought was Huh ?

Do I have to rig it on my Whites
rod & Use my whites Coil ?

It's just a Box

I also had a little fear they were LRL scams
of some type

I also had a little fear they were LRL scams
of some type

We had no scams with Minelab back then ... Not like now.....They showed the rod to the Excalibur but just the box on the rest in this ad .... No scam ... It was how they put the add up in 1995..... I still have my instruction video on the first Sovereign made with Gary Storm demonstrating the use of the Sovereign............. My self i thought it as a nice lay out for a ad......
