What's this?

Have not posted in a while since I haven't found much. But maybe someone knows what this is. it's about the size of a Half dollar, I think it's brass found in IBSP NJ.

Could have been a cloth covered button like the ones on some sweaters.Kind of like these some were very large.

Looks like it might be the other half of a snap; the3 holes are for stitching it to the item.

Is the other side flat?
