Whats your oldest coin found surface

Just wondering what was your oldest coin you ever found on the surface. Mine was a 1926 Merc. Never really new how or why it never sank in the ground.

I found a 1905 V nickel on the surface at a construction site years ago on my lunch break, I'm amazed it survive since we did a lot of digging and leveling of the ground there before the houses started going up.

1697-1701 William III Half Penny, from a plowed field after a rain. No visible date, but clearly a William III. Other than that, I found a 1917 Merc and a no date Buffalo.

1853 large cent and it was in really good shape . Found on a old town road the had been discontinued the that led to a old town park . Had high hopes for this hunt once I found that . Found some silver and was moving along and found a boundary marker and realized that I had gotten permission from the wrong landowner . Can't wait to get back there once I get the right permission. HH!

1876 seated dime under some leaves but on top of the ground along an old foot path. I thought it was going to be a clad dame so I poked around with my probe to find it. Luckily I didn't hurt it too bad!

1940 wheat penny, the person who owns the place found a 1856 British coin on the surface a week before I was there.
