It's massive .. my guess would be off of freight transport wagon similar to this one:

It definitely has wooden spokes, which is what made me think wheel. So glad i made my son go back and rescue it from the creek!��

Send some clear photos and measurements to my friends at the Hansen Wheel & Wagon Shop .. they can tell you whether it is a wagon wheel hub or not.

It is definitely heavy duty, probably off a freight or log/timber hauling wagon, JMO... "D"
