Hit one of my favorite local schools Sunday. Dug #10 and #11 pieces of sterling silver from this site. They are a pretty marked-sterling ring with CZ's and a marked-sterling St. Christopher medallion.

Three rings total, with one being a first for me, a hand-made, well worn, plated spoon ring. The little worn ring with the small red stone is marked 10KGE.

Other goodies included kids' pendants and a locket, a Lone Star hat pin, old pewter or zinc horse brooch, a Catholic medallion, some interesting buttons, and an all-brass "Talon" zipper pull. "Talon" and "Conmar" were the big contract names for military clothing fasteners for our US servicemen during WW2.

This gilt button will require the help of my esteemed TNet family for a positive identification. Is it just a fanciful patriotic civilian button, or a military/militia/academy uniform button? It is 3/4" in diameter and has a steel back and shank that are quite rusted. Found directly under the overhead bar in a soccer field goal box...yet again..

While driving to my school site, I stopped in at one of my favorite little outdoor swap meets. I found this great set of vintage Girard, Kansas Police badge and shoulder patch. I have been collecting police and fire memorabilia for nearly 40 years, and it is always a thrill to find genuine old items. (So many fakes, fantasies, and reproductions in this specific hobby.)

Thanks for peeking, and I wish all of my Tnet friends a great week full of Happy Hunting. Sub
