I was on the way home from tennis and was doing a drive by to check out the main beach, when I spotted a plane right on the beach. We assumed it might be an emergency landing and a small crowd had gathered. I parked the car and when I got closer, and asked a bystander what the emergency was, he laughed and said " they stopped to use the washroom" . The washroom is not for pilots, I just put that on the photo.
He got stuck in the sand in the shallow water, trying to take off, and did get airborne after 30 mins of playing around out there. He would never of been able to land either on the sand or in the water had it of been mid summer as the beach is just too busy. Happy Columbus Day tomorrow, it's also our Thanksgiving.

that lake GoldDigger is Lake Huron, one of the 5 great lakes, in our particular area of it, we have 14 kilometers of white sand beach and you can walk the entire length without anything in the way.

wev'e had calm waters for awhile now, but there are a good many days you can't stand up out there
