Where do you typically search?

Where do people search when the ground gets colder? I'm up north, so the grounds already frozen here. :( That summer seemed to fly by!!

I search my kitchen for another cup of coffee.

If your ground is frozen already, where are you living? An you can't really call that a summer as there weren't that many people at the beaches.

Mostly when it is really cold you can hunt the sunny sides of the land. Many beaches don't have frozen beach sand yet. I am out of the water for now and won't be doing any diving under the ice for snowmobiles.

I'm in Maine and I have detected all weekend and I was wadding in the water last week and hopefully this week also. there's a guy in Canada by the name of John who searches with a heated detector in the snow, check under the Garrett forum on this site what a hoot. He's a real die hard.
Anyway to answer your question I spend my time checking my garden to see what my detectors are reading in the frozen ground and get some practice without digging and also learning on TreasureNet.

When the ground freezes up, I do most of my searching online or at the library. Unless you have plans on heading south or like detecting in frozen ground or snow, then it may be best to use this time to research new places to hunt and talk to land owners about getting permission to hunt when conditions are more favorable. hasn't Frozen in PA Yet.

But when a Thermal, a T-shirt, 2 sweats
& A jacket don't keep the Cold air away,
I Hibernate with my :coffee2: :coffee2: :coffee2:
:coffee2: :coffee2: :coffee2: till I feel
Warmth.

& I Don't do Frozen Ground.
Tried it; Didn't like Trying to chip Ice
or reaching into Ice water when it rushes
into the holes..
