Try googling ,RPPC ____________and the insert name of your beach.....or Old photos "insert name of beach"
Ebay has a ton of vintage Hawaii postcards and photos....
Is there a historical society you can look up on line?

Well, hmmm. Last time I tried to give you some good advice with good intentions, you flew off the handle at me and acted as though I were an idiot. I believe in 2nd chances, so I'll try this again, please don't take offense.

In 1944, the US Army Air Corps took excellent aerial reconnaissance photos of all strategic locations (including Hawaii). You can find many of them online, and I had good success in requesting additional photos through the Freedom of Information act. They have helped me tremendously in calculating beach erosion patterns on Florida's East coast, and my guess is that they could do the same for you in your area.

Best of luck.

Sorry Jason for going off the handle! I guess I was a little high strung that evening so I do apologize and I will be alot nicer! I guess I felt a little hurtful in a way so please take my apology!! Thanks for all of your help and I really do hope to meet all of you guys when I do come over to Florida one day. Again my sincerest apology and I hope you guys are finding the goodies over there on the treasure coast! Aloha ;D

No worries...sorry for using that thread as my personal soapbox too.

Did you find the aerials I talked about? I used them to compare the beach of 60 years ago with Google Earth images and it gave me a good idea of where the changes were taking place. For your kind of hunting, I think it could line you up with old shoreline or at least give you a range that should be hunted.

Good luck...we all want to see another pile of jewelry soon. :D
