Where to hunt

;D ;D Where is you at??? Once we know where your looking,it will help. The famous PBK here in the forum is a collection of wisdom. If he doesn't know, it doesn't matter ::) ::) I too new to give out advice but you get some good replies. Idig

Talk to any older folks that you know! Check your county courthouse, library, newspaper for records. Get on Goggle earth and look around your area.

check out your local library. Logon to the local newspaper website and look for past picnics, parks, etc. The ground was here before you were, hunt it.

One of the most overlooked places to detect and a great place to start is your own yard. My house was built on a small 1/4 acre in the mid 1960's but has produced over 15 silver coins, numerous wheaties and artifacts going back to the 1850's! It was once the site of a farm.

Take my advice, don't overlook it!

For me the best place for new coins (and some old) are the local parks. People are always there so there is always a fresh supply of Clad ;D

Sandman is right when it comes to the old stuff, you have to do your research (library, historical society, the old folks in the neighborhood) that's where you get the best leads on old places

city parks, school yards, picnic grounds, church grounds, play grounds.
On some places, ask first.
Fill your holes....It is most important.
