Hi Dtschuler, How did you find it? It looks as though it may have been scrubbed clean.
In case you didn't know, cleaning any type of valuable coin can bring the coin's extra worth down to almost nothing.
So if you did did up a 1932 D Washington Qtr, with this amount of use, a dealer might pay $100 for it. But if it showed tiny scuffs from dirt being rubbed into the surface as the result of cleaning, he might offer $15 or he may not want it at all.
Imagine if was one of those $5,000+ coins and you or I cleaned and buffed it to a high shine, then no one would buy it.
Forgive my preaching. I have no way of knowing if or how your 1946 was cleaned, but just wanted those who read this to be aware.
This 1946 P has little value other than the 90% silver content (maybe $2.50ish) and the ability to fill a hole in the Quarter folder. But it is still cool.
