Which beaches in Fla allows metal detectors|?

Hi every one Does any one know which beches can we detect oand which beach can't ?

Which side of Florida? I am on the West coast and almost all of our beaches you can hunt with out any problems. If its a State Park check with them there is a few you can't hunt, and stay out of the dunes and turtle nests.

On the east coast you can again detect most of the beaches however some of the beaches near the 1715 fleet you are allowed to hunt the dry only not the water and again just do a little research before you hit a certain beach. Good luck

ummmmm......... Your not allowed to metal detect any beaches in Florida........ and make sure to tell everyone else that too

ya Stitchlips is right, I heard all beaches in Florida were off limits too, like Ontario here, I was the only one to get a special permit to hunt the beaches, now it's closed.

Most all the beaches in Florida are still free to hunt. Well, for the time being anyway. Efforts by the State of Florida DHR are ongoing to restrict Treasure hunting in the sunshine state. However, no new rule changes have been submitted to the State Legislature.
Hunting in Federal Parks and Beaches - Not allowed
Hunting in State Parks and Beaches - Requires permission from the ranger
Hunting on Public Beaches - Free to hunt

Depends on what you are looking for...

Modern treasure - go to any of 100's of the more popular beaches used by tourest and overall large crowds.

Spanish treasure - go to the beaches adjacent to the old spanish shipwrecks down on the Treasure Coast.
