Which low end detector to use?

I have a CZ3D and like it. I was looking for recommendations for a detetor to just use in the trashy parks and schools to get the shallow clad that is commonly found there. I could use the 3D for the deeper targets once all the shallow stuff is out of the way. Would like something with target ID. Notching would be nice too. Would like to keep the price under $400. Was thinking on the lines of a used GTP1350, Whites classic ID or IDX, Classic 5, etc.

Tesoro Silver uMax and the Ace 250 are both excellent starters. Both are much cheaper than $400.

got to say an ace250 or prizm iv for parks, that way you can notch out what you don't want to find if its too trashy

I've read tons and tons of people on here like that Ace 250. Must be a good machine. That's what I'd do if I were you.

To throw a wrench into the plans I like the Exterra 30.

It's wicked fast recovery rate makes it a clad hog in trashy parks.

It's target I.D. is spot on, down to about the 4" mark.

It's light weight so you can swing it all day and it won't break your wallet at $200.

As you can tell I think mine is a great little machine.
