You'll have to forgive my skepticism, if I have a tinge of doubt about that 2nd pix and caption.

That first picture, well, the gold weighs several hundred pounds....

Tom & Smokey are doubtful about those pictures and so am i.

Skepticism is good. As J.K. Rowling said, “I mean, you could claim that anything's real if the only basis for believing in it is that nobody's proved it doesn't exist!”

Bingo. "Burden of proof falls on .... "

The dude holding the nugget is strong! OR.......

This is the REAL "Boot of Cortez." Yes, it was found in Mexico with a Radio Shack metal detector (designed by Jack Gifford). You could have found this sucker with a Walmart Kid's detector! The photos were taken in a motel room during the BOC sale in the late 1980s:skullflag:

I was judging by physical size. If only 27 pounds it would have to be 1/2" thick only. Interesting the weight is on two fingers of each hand only. I really don't know...and don't care much as he's not sending it to me as a "test target".:tongue3:

That is more like it..

That dang thing is so large you don't even need a detector to find it - just trip over it!

32.1 Troy Pounds

It's on social media. It must be true!

sorry but I don't believe either pic, especially the 1st one. If that was real gold he would never be able to hold it up like that, unless the back of it is hollowed out.
