Bought this very large and super heavy grog clay sculpture but i would like to know who it represents?

Very nice and looks pretty old. Depictions like this are most usually of St. Joseph holding the infant Jesus. That's Joseph as in the husband of Mary, and legal father of Jesus.

The smaller figure he's holding is enclosed in a 'mandorla' (an almond-shaped frame traditionally used in Christian art to represent divine glory or sanctity). It might be Mary, but I'm unconvinced that it's not baby Jesus all swaddled up.

You're welcome. Age is really difficult on items like this. They go all the way back to mediaeval times., although most usually as wooden carvings. All I would be prepared to say is that it looks genuinely antique rather than modern with simulated aging.

Dear Red Coat, i just found out that the figure is a spanish colonial figure with the caracteristik cape he wears and also the glaze colors. If you google spanish colonial religious figure you will see what i mean.
