I'm looking to buy a travel scoop for when I go on vacation it's easier to pack it. I've narrowed my choices to the RTG PRO ALUMINUM 6" and the RTG PRO 5" STAINLESS TRAVEL WATER SCOOP. Other than the one inch difference they both weigh in at 4 1/2 lbs. Is the aluminum as durable as the stainless steel, and are there really any advantages one over the other since there is only a ten dollar difference in the price?

What detector are you using? I have the little 5" which I love but depending on how deep and which machine you are using the larger one may be better

I'll be using an Excal with a Wot coil

In that case the Sunspot stealth 720i

I just ordered a Sand Shark and was looking to the RTG aluminum 6 inch. What does the type of detector have to do with it?

Mainly how deep of targets you will be finding and whether you are in surf or up on wet sand
