Which Tesoro

Also being in WI I chose the Vaquero simply because it has all the features I really need. The Tejon has extra features that would be nice but instead of ordering that one I opted to get the Cleansweep and 5.75 coils with the Vaquero. Personally, I think the flexability of the optional coils will do more for me than the extra options on the Tejon.

I believe the extra features more than make up for the Tejon. I set the main disc to just disc out iron so it sounds off on pull tabs and nickels. I set the second disc setting to disc out those pull tabs. Set the audio to a tone you can hear well and maybe set the VCO too. This way when I get a signal I can use the second disc setting to see if it is a pull tab or maybe a gold ring if it nulls out. I can then decide it I want to dig it or not. If it still signals with the second disc it is a coin or a higher conductive target.

The Clean Sweep Coil is a welcome addition for covering a large area quickly, but it is only about 7" deep on a coin....Thats ok with me. The sniper coil is very welcome for trashy areas.

I like the Tejon but both are very good machines

It comes down to budget. In my case the Tejon or the Vaquero with the extra coils. The Vaquero and coils made more sense to me.

Agreed. The only difference is I'd have the 10x12 DD instead of the clean sweep...
