While Fossis is photographing fog & finding a cache, I'm busy...

preparing one of the pastures for winter grass. Someone mentioned last week I need to get out more. I do, just don't have the camera with me all the time. Today, I did!

Didn't want to disturb the sleeping beauties

It was cold riding, had to get a jacket & head gear.

I remember work, but now my uncle helps support me, (Uncle Sam) that is, now I have more time to roam the woods, take pic's, & find caches.
I feel for you River Rat, but I know it's a 'labor of love' with your animals & farm, nice pic's.

I spent the last two days on the farms I lease working. Looks like we will have plenty of new agnus calf's this winter. The new fields of switch grass are 6 feet tall but can't be cut for three years. We harvested a nice 10 point with bow.

Judie, the first picture of the pond really looked inviting! The second one, not so much! You've really got a place to be proud of, even if it is a lot of work!

You have had how many gators there in your pond? Yikes, does he stay or will ya have him removed?

I couldn't tell you how many we had over the years. They come & go, back & forth to the river...the pond drains into the river. Only had 2 removed cause they were too vicious. Took the shrimp heads out to feed him this afternoon and he was gone. Getting cold here and he may have gone into hibernation, but more and likely he went back to the river, may be back tomorrow.

I thought Godisnum1 was going to do a beach hunt this fall, and I planned to go there also, which would probably take me though you area.

Haven't heard from him though, so I assume his focus is elsewhere............

Still have to do Monterey again this year, and Denver before the snow gets too deep. (I don't even want to see it!)
