I have a MTX PRO now for about a year like it but just don't have enought time to realy use it. I normaly have a
elclips 6x9 coil on it which I like very much works well I can tell what I am looking at.
I have had a White D2 Coil 10 " which I have tried a couple of tomes with little sucess, I have finall fiqured out where to pin point the coil but I have a hard time telling what I
am going to dig I have dug every pop can ther is. What is a good setting for the coil and a MXT Pro It does find alot of stuff but I don't dig all because it has been all junk
thank SLDigger

Well the presets are a pretty good place to start with your settings. Disc set to 3.5 and gain to 9.5. If you are digging too much aluminum trash turn your disc up to 5.5-6 but be aware a lot of good target fall into that range. Mainly nickels and many gold jewelry pieces.

Just a tip FWIW…After ground balancing your MXT Pro, throw your Trac into the lock position. It's just makes the machine run a little smoother and not quite so chatty. The machine will continue to track ground conditions but won't automatically make the changes. You can then use the Ground Grab button as you feel the need to get the latest ground conditions.

The D2 coil is what I use 95% of the time as I can get dimes at 10"+ with some being at 12" before, I try and run +2 gain for those really deep whisper targets. Any more than +2 gain and it gets a little too noisy to hear those deep whisper targets and you might not always be able to run that hot even like in high EMI area's as that will give you more noise in your headphones.
