Whites 5000 D with G.E.B

How many of you guys have used the 5000 D ? I have a friend who has had his since the late 70's and swears by it.

G'day my name is peter - i have just joined the group and am very new at detecting but i have got the machine that you refer to. would like to use it on the beach - where does your friend use his ?? any luck ??
