Whites 9.5 coil question.

I have been using my blue max 5.3 on my idx and I want to switch back to 9.5. I remember I did not like the way it performed for me when I first got the idx. Does this coil go deep? My 5.3 is normally around 5" the deepest. I am using the 9.5 2morrow. Input on this would help. Also is there a coil out there that is around 9.5 size that you prefer and recommend? Hope its not a stupid question.

You should probably get close to a foot with the 9.5 coil (guessing) On my xlt I have dug coins at 7 inches already with my 9.5.

Pulled a large cent from approximately 12" with the 9.5 coil on an xlt. It was a very weak signal and I probably would have normally passed on it. Obviously glad I did it.
