I was hiking Bare hill yesterday and was going to take a few pics of what I presume to be the remnants of the old fort, but my hike took me in a different direction. First time I saw it I thought it was a cellar hole.

I'll probably take the wife and kids up there next weekend.
It's cool knowing there's ancient history up there, but also a bummer because there are signs that say No Relic/artifact collecting.

Nah I don't get creeped out easily. I hunt coyotes & fox up there in the dark and haven't felt any negative vibes.
I always pay homage to the native hunters who came before me by sprinkling some tobacco on the ground.
What makes it neat up there at night is that when you look across the lake the horizon is pink due to Bristol Mtn. ski resort.
