who can make etrac explorer test? Christmas present for all us

hello all friends,I am expert in explorer and last two years use it with success but start to feel that its too slow -even if all the time I use it without discrimination in ferrous!!!! I need Christmas present from any of you who can make simple test with rusty nails and coin! its very simple you just need rusty nails and different sizes coins taped with clear scotch to see how big nail against coin---on any wood,plastic sticks or just teeth sticks, nailed on some bread or other stuff to hold it. idea to have possibility easy change nails and coin position and highs against each other, switch any camera on and sweep both detectors coils on the nail and coin cake, checking for coin signal. from my experience i know that in most situation explorer will not see coin---did test my self, but cant say about etrac, because dont have. so idea to make coin signal very on the edge for etrac or explorer and check it again with opposite detector. rule both detectors should be without discrimination on ferrous, both with pro coils or 1050 and coin size should be smaller compare with nails. test can be don with any explorer against etrac. Please do not answer if you dont have two this detectors and even not did any simple test with one nail and coin---coin size smaller. Thank you all Mad Stasys

Thanks Woodland, test simple and clear, but problem that its only Etrac, but not both, yesterday I tried to repeat it with my explorer xs and it was something possible to do, but much much slower. but etrac and explorer reacts very similar on nails position and I suspect that in etrac just faster processor and not much more, but time is money. best would be to have test don with two detectors without discrimination would be very easy to compare with clock. Not many folks can afford multiple Minelabs. The E-Trac is expensive enough by it's self. You've seen the E-Trac test, just do the same with your explorer and you will have your comparison.

Jason I did test with my explorer many, many times. Yes Etrac is very expensive, if I think what you can buy for1500 !!! but reality is that its still instrument for people like as and we consumers have to know what it is. explorer slower-yes, but its not clear how its slower and what ells we can expect from etrac compare with explorer? its look like Minelab dont show this info because explorer would be dead, they know by fraction seconds how etrac is better... they sell explorer like something very original FBS detector, very deep proven by time...but reality...i suspect explorer time ending. :wink:

If i had two detectors I would need just 15 min to know. but its look like I will have to buy one -very cheep :laughing7:

ATENTION Attention attention. Just got what man in video use to show Etrac speed!!!! ---it metal screwdriver heads. i just took it from my tool box and tested my old XS explorer ...looking video on computer like APE! :hello2:

and what do you think i found

with little discrimination and pro coil -----THEY ARE THE SAME OR VERY SIMILAR!!!!----so my question---what is the different in this to detectors --just menu

if you dont believe me--- make you test! after this simple test i dont know what detector would be dead explorer or etrac?? :laughing7:

Test outside, without soil gives you nothing, its bullsh...
Explorer SE is a little bit slower, but not less deeper on right hands. I tested both an bought Explorer SE proffesional just a month ago. If you want faster machine i have F75 to. But too much chatter and noise and to be honest compared to Minelab the F75 is a toy. Deus is a option to.

Why is a test without soil invalid? Is it because there are no ground minerals to give "real-life" circumstances?

etrac and explorer the same technology the same coils and I dont know what different, I wanted simple test speed... Year ago i was testing my old xs in live with some person who owns Etrac and it was hard to tell big different in speed, but i was not sure because I did not new how to set Etrac and my coil was 1050. Now i have Pro coil and I did simple copy test looking video. speed on video and my explorer XS very similar or the same --but clearly not critical to say etrac very much faster. maybe video with etrac test was made wrong

if so send me your test video with items for discrimination what I can repeat!
its the same story then i was looking explorer all in one voices was telling me XS very slow copare with SE, if you can afford buy 2... but i can say they all the same even S if we talk about speed. if you dont believe me its your right.
i can add good luck in using better faster etrac. about speed F 75 I agree its faster, but its have own problems. BUT DID I MENTIONED ANY F 75 IN MY TEST? good luck all etrac and explorer users Stasys

The E-Trac is NOT the same as the Explorer. Completely different machines. TRy this test with your Explorer. Place a piece of iron ON TOP of a small silver coin. now do the test again. Run the E-Trac VERY slowly over it. It will still read the silver, will the Explorer?

Jason did you look Minelab Etrac test video that i posted? look ---everything again--- i can repeat everything with my explorer.. :-*

I cant say about what explorer screen was saying I usually do not use it, but can be anything and not so clear.. I know on etrac like on explorer SE is very nice pinpoint, but sound from my explorer was clear like etrac! Please all i dont want to say that i am totaly happy with explorer but what for etrac if my old explorer makes BEEP the same like Etrac--? If anybody know etrac video where I can recognize what object was in use for recovery test i will repeat it with my explorer... I would like to have faster detector like explorer, but what I see its not so true. good luck all, Stasys :read2:
