🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Who is this Monk? Tibet? India? China?

Found this at a salvation army in suburbs of Chicago. It appears to be a monk and what I would imagine is a piece of his robe? on the front and a buhda? on the back. There is some very tiny foreign writing too small to show up on my camera. Any info or guesses any thing that might help would be great thanks.

Hard to see his face clearly, especially on my phone, but my best guess would be His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

While there are lots of pictures of him with glasses on, there are pictures and depictions of him without his glasses.

Really need clearer photos as these are kind of blurry to make the image of the king/ruler.
Though it does look like a high carat gold inset with possible diamonds.
