✅ SOLVED WHO IS THIS ON THIS CAPE PIN ?

Hi my name is Paul i dug this cape pin 15 years ago and put it away. Now I would like to know who it is and if it is a cape pin, what is it worth. I have looked online but have not seen one just like it. Any help would be nice. Thanks paul in Maryland.

I don't know what kind of pin, but the face looks like Robert E. Lee to me.

I believe the above picture is from a different MD website that finally agreed on that being Gen. Freemont. I still like ours being Lee, but it is hard to make out the details.

All of the civil war portrait "bust" type cape-pins are yankee-made, and thus show only yankee leaders. Unfortunately, the one found by Thumper1 cannot be Robert E. Lee, nor any other Confederate leader.
