From what I see on T/V this morning from the local new's chopper's Galveston beaches are
all ready being stripped and its only from 4 to 6 ft. waves and the high tide. Galveston may
look like N.O. after IKE get's done there. Lot's of flooding all ready. May be a few days befor
they let anyone back on the beach but when they do. SING TO ME OH BEEPING ONE!!!!!!!!!

May we imply from your post that your home and family aren't in the expected path? As much as everyone would love to detect a newly disturbed beach, the exuberant tone of some of the pre-storm posts here seems a bit disrespectful to those potentially in harm's way. Good luck to those who live in that area.
