That is nice.

I wonder how much it is?

Says in the video link £125.00.

Wayyy better than others at similar or higher priced ones...plus this is telescopic.

But...i have 11" coil...no wobble and sticking to stock shaft!

My father is 80 and he uses a nox 15" coil, also with no shaft wobble and he's also sticking to stock shaft.

21" collapsed sounds nice. All I really care about is conveniently getting short for transport.

But I think I'll wait out a few reviews before I bite.

Just had another thought.....Why aren't there and American manufacturers making telescopic shafts.....I've only seen UK and Bulgaria?

Agree

99% of my detecting is on Florida beaches so sand gets into EVERYTHING. I can see the telescoping sections jamming due to the sandy environment. Given that, the less moving parts the better for me so I now have the DetectEd shafts on my EQXs.

Just the view from my sandy foxhole...

I love the telescoping shaft on my Deus. It is particularly helpful on hills, where I shorten it to search uphill, lengthen for downhill. And of course, I love it for the ease of changing coils. But the Deus is also a wireless coil. Not sure this would be worth the bucks to me. Sure looks purty, though.

I noticed this in the description of it, took a while to sink in.

"We have designed an anti-rotational channel that runs the whole length of the shaft to stop the shaft and control box twisting sideways, this also adds extra strength to the whole shaft."

While I do believe it's a good thing for the detector while you're swinging or telescoping, when it comes to storage/transport if you can't rotate it 90 degrees somewhere along the shaft, you're stuck with a "T" profile, rather than a a flat "l" profile.

I guess my goal is actually to get the shortest, most compact package possible to better fit on my motorcycle. Sometimes you just can't have it all.

A#1 -- if interested, I may be able to help you out there, with a custom design...

Send me a PM, if so...

Steve

Ordered one the other day. Says they are in stock, but got email saying they are waiting for lower rod sections (non-red color). Says they should have that in a few days. Thinking it’ll be handy for my kayak diving nox, which eliminates bringing my extra nox, for when i switch from scuba to wading when i run out of air. Quite pricey, $181 USD shipped, almost skipped it due to the high price.

All this because the standard ill-designed rod assembly - LIKELY designed by some outside design house where they usually do toasters - come on Minelab - get with the program
!

I may look at this and adapt for my SeaHunter 2?
Should be easy enough to do?

Be a great quick transition from Land - Beach - SCUBA....
