Did you dig? If so what was it?

Deus is not the best for salt beaches, but it will work, I used my once in salt, in NC actually, it would false anytime the coil bumped the sand or water. I think I had to lower the GB to around 12 and make sure it's set to "wet sand". I never use the pinpoint, just wiggle it about an inch each way, works better.

Thanks for the reply. I did find a few coins. but that pinpointer was totally out of control

I don't know on the Deus but,
If I'm understanding what your saying, My Explorer will do that occasionally.

only remedy is go out of Pinpoint hold coil in the air then go back into pinpoint.

May be worth a try next time

Not sure why it would be? Maybe there was a pirates chest 3 foot down?.....same here, few coins and 1 junk ring, i stayed in the wet sand, on the bone dry sand you can use any program.

I wish. The machine was doing it just about everytime I had a hit.

Hi Can...do you know that you can reduce / reset the sensitivity of the pinpointer by depressing its button multiple times? Not sure what your problem really is but thought I'd put that out there.

I'm not talking of the Pinointer.
I'm talking of the Explorers Pinpoint Mode.
If I hold the Coil over the detected Target, Or beside it & hit pinpoint
most of the Times My headphones Blare like the target is the size of a Car & Not Overloading .

IF I hold the coil up , hit poinpoint then Lower it, It usually is fine.

I believe CAN Is talking about his Deus doing the same

If you are referring to your XP Deus pinpoint mode, press the Pinpoint mode button a second time to reduce its sensitivity and the blaring will stop.
