I have been a member for a few months but this is my first post. I had the afternoon off so I decided to take my wife with me detecting. We went to a friends house that was built in 1859. I gave her my back up detector, a garrett ace 250, and I used my AT pro. I was sifting through good and bad signals and she used the dig everything method. Long story short I found a bunch of junk and she dug the button. Older then anything I have found by a long shot. The grubby pictures are her button, the shiny ones are a picture I found on line. I'm leaving her at home next time!

you might need her around to find the jars of gold coins while you're clearing out the pull tabs

Great Find! Big congrats to your wife. Many times, when there's one, there's more! Keep up the good work.

Nice Campaign button

1. the dig everything method works. I have been using it for years.

and

2. I know the feeling of being out-dug by a lady friend!

Congrats on the button! My lady friend dug one of those back in 2008 or so, on a day I got skunked!

Great find! Maybe you should switch detectors?
