I found this about 8" down with my E-Trac in Central,Indiana. I think its silver because it cleaned up nicely because it had to rings up top that rusted to it but cleaned up on the back it has Hong Kong.

Pretty sure that style of winged bomb is Army Air Corps (pre-1948). With the gear/cog thing in the background, I would guess ground crew of mechanic pin. Never seen one like it though. Cool find.

I've seen these before. fake military medal. should be made of aluminum or pot metal. usually hung from a cheap cloth or plastic 'ribbon'. made for use as costume wear, like for halloween or whatever. sold in dime stores
