Will a GMT out hunt a Minelab 705 gold pak.

Depends on the ground and the operator.
My money would be on the Minelab GPX 5000 for depth that the GMT cant reach.

A GMT is a superior Gold Nugget Hunter as the kHz are higher at around 51kHz..... The Xterra705 is multi purpose machine that will get gold but the frequency is lower at 18.75 kHz and two lower frequency coils so it is superior at parks, coins, and relics..... it will still get gold but the higher frequency GMT will excell in that department.
I wish i could afford the Minelab GPX5000 .....:icon_thumright:

Half price of the Gpx 5000 would still be around $3000...... The GMT and the xterra and even the gold bug 2 are hovering around $800

The GMT (which is a nugget detector) will find smaller gold over the MXT or the Xterra ...actually the Gold Bug 2 will find the smallest gold near the surface but the GMT will be close but goes deeper than the Gold bug 2..... if you want to multi purpose then the MXT or Xterra 705 would do great.
