John, what seems to be the problem? It might not be the detector at all and some other factor in your location that causes the thing to act up. At one location a State Police post interfiers with the Fisher's I try to use but leaves the Tesoro's alone. Also batteries can cause this and also a bad connection at the coil wire plug.
