Went for a two mile walk down a county road.

These were taken in a rural area between Salem and Portland Oregon on a cloudy day.

I think the red fields are some kind of clover.

Reminds me of the area near the tulip gardens. The Willamette Valley is a nice area! I'd like to find more area's to go metal detecting and live in the area and new to the hobby and know there are some historical places in the area.
 
Some really great shots there RWC. I love this time of year, there are so many shades of green and every color imaginable.

Wecome to TN McClod, do your research and get out and hunt. Don't be afraid to ask the land owners permision, most of them are really gread people. Allways fill your holes, even in a farmers field or at the beach.
