Windy Beach Hunt on Christmas eve. Dropped yesterday looking 1775 KG3 Half Penny, Keystone Automobile Club award pin.

Had a few hours in the mud to see if I could get anything besides sinkers and junk. It was almost 50 out but the wind was really blowing. When coins get into the clay layer of creek or river bottom they can come out looking really nice since it's mostly an anaerobic environment. No tumbling, no corrosion, always toning.

In addition to the kg3 ( nicest British copper I've found) I got a harmonica reed, marble, a model T valve stem base and a Keystone Automobile Club safety award. The club existed 1906 to 1965 when it merged with triple A. Not shown a basic brass drawer pull and a lead capped salt shaker.

Thank you. It's definitely rare but if you're brave enough to go detecting in mud like chocolate pudding it can happen. Always a gamble walking out on that. Seems to hold enough I'm not past my ankles. Except a few surprise spots.

Thank you. Worth braving the mud. I went back over the weekend and got on a coin patch but it was mostly modern. Did get one other king george 3rd though it's no where near the one in this post in terms of details. Also aother marble, a Patent Nov 21 1911 powder puff compact and an older oar lock.
