Winter detecting vs Summer detecting

You know it can be colder but the ground sometimes opens up due to freezing etc, I’m not an expert, but situations due to climate or ground conditions are good opportunities too. How about any of you, I find low water levels better this time of year, thanks.

I don't hunt beaches but l prefer the cooler temps in the woods, no bees or mosquitoes.

I hunt fall and winter, no ticks, biting flies or mosquitoes. the forest is open with less vegetation. the ground is wetter which improves depth of target detection. in the dead of winter and bitter cold I hunt south facing slopes .
