Took advantage of the warm weather and found this on a sandbar in the mud

Nice looking artifact. What type of point is it?
 

What state? In Ohio I would call it a Chesser Point which is Middle Woodland in age.
 

That’s a nice point , any pics of it cleaned up .... interesting how mid way up it cuts in on both sides ... you think it was reworked as the flaking on the top half seems different too??

I found it in SW Iowa. And all I could tell you is that it is an Indian point. My knowledge of the subject is rather void.
