Here in Missouri, we will hang an apple from a tree limb. The apple is attatched twith a treble hook, the apple is just high enough where the deer has to stand upon his back two legs to eat it. You guess the rest. OK JUST KIDDING PETA MEMBERS!
But I have heard of this being done down in Texas... Really, I believe in a humane quick kill....Steve

I've only had two days in the woods so far. Heading back into the national forest Tue for 4 days. Wish me luck, cool weather and a clear shot. :-[

RR...that's a neat Halloween costume.

BTW...I think that trap only works for Wisconsin deer so don't go making ya one! ::)
 

That looks easier to retrieve your deer from than those big ol' sticky traps we use out here.
