While I was garage sailing a couple of months ago, I stopped into a vintage collectible shop. This wood carved sitting pig had caught my eye. It was $22.00. I never saw a wood carved pig of that size before that I can remember. It stands 10 inches tall to his head and 10.5 inches to his ears. I really didn't want to part with my garage sale money for the price tag at that time and I really didn't need a dust collector so I left. I recently stopped in again and the pig was still there. The owner offered me a discount on it and brought the price down to $18, so I caved in and bought it. I was hoping someone can tell me what type of wood this pig was made out of? Is it new or vintage? I took a pic of it next to a water bottle so you can view the size.

Very nice! And a score at $18! Hard to say what type of wood it is unless handling it up close or there is a bare spot. My first guess is native mahogany possibly an import.
Beast of luck!

That's bank...piggy bank!
