Here is a pic. of some ammo that I've dug up in the last 2 months. Included is a 9mm hollow point, two 22's, a 12 ga. shell bottom, a 16 ga. shell bottom, a 30-30 rifle shell, and last but not least the center shell that has me stumped. I dug this out of an old yard and it has 38 caliber shell, but here's where it gets interesting. It has a wooden top (as you can see by the hole in the side) with small shot balls inside. Any historians out there with knowledge of old ammo
? The wooden top is out of my realm of understanding.......Thanks for any thoughts.........Goadster from Ohio
