Well, back to school, but to start with the new school year, I went to the sales this last weekend. I found a Tiffany Necklace. about 70 grams of sterling. They asked me what I would pay, and I offered melt of around $.50 a gram. They asked for $45 and we settled at 40. The heart has an inscription (initials on one side). My father thinks I can remove it with some Rouge and a polisher. We'll see. I was able to get the Tiffany bag, but not the box.

My gold dealer charges me $2.50 per dwt on Tiffany items. Probably worth close to double that amount, depending on condition and desirability of the piece.
