This is my WWII collection. I would love to expand to some relic bullets, casings, patches, etc. but this is what I have for now.





German parade bayonet made by Tiger Solingen. probably one of the most collectible makers marks made.




M339 Armor Piercing-Tracer round for a Sherman tank. This is a 75mm shell made for the 76mm M4A1 Sherman of WWII fame. Remember the movie Fury? Same tank, same shell.




AP-T M51 round for the American Stuart tank, used in North Africa.






PaK 36 type Armor Piercing High Explosive round for either a Panzer III, or the Pak 36 gun. It has three Wehrmacht stamps, and is dated 1937.

Nazi firefighters patch, from Stanzach Austria, during German occupation.





National Socialist Party of Germany (NSDAP) badge, M1/17





8mm Mauser shell casing, marked SS-TV. The SS-TV were the Death Squads that roamed the Russian front during the war. This casing was found in Poland, but at a Waffen SS battle site, not a SS-TV site. The ammo was used by everyone, despite the marking.

My pride and joy, a German M42 helmet. I got this as an incredible bargain on eBay, with original paint, liner, and Division number. It belonged to a soldier of the 77th Wehrmacht division, present at Utah Beach. Whay was it a bargain you ask? This is what it looked like before.





I made a YouTube video on how I removed the postwar fake paint. I'll have to find it.



Items not pictured include a bunch of stuff at my grandfathers, a Walther 1943 dated P38, and a U.S. WWII Detnator.

Very nice collection, thanks for sharing! That M42 helmet is killer, great job cleaning it up! I also am quite fond of that firefighters patch, not sure why it must be the color lol.

Can you explain what the detonator you're referring to is? Like a plunger magneto for setting off blasting charges?

Yes, it is a WWII American Engineers detonating device, with a handle to push down and blow Kraut stuff up.


The helmet is very nice, and I had fun restoring it. I just bought another one a few moments ago, but that needs a total restoration.

Wanted to add that recently I came across someone selling silverware monogrammed with Eva Braun's butterfly shaped "EB" and claimed to be from a whole gifted box set of silverware from Mrs Goebbels or something haha. Got me curious and after 15 minutes of searching the internet I found enough of Eva's silverware for sale to make dozens of sets! Beware of fakes and good stories because the same Ukrainian and Russian ancient artifact forgery workshops that I have to navigate also churn out good more modern WW2 fakes too so be careful, though it seems like you know what you're doing so keep it up!

I've actually stayed out of the hobby for years because of fakery, but then it entered my mind that they sell fake Civil War stuff too, do they not? I just came across a doozy of a belt plate the other day that I believed was real, but didn't buy it because I have doubt about it now.

Yeah fakes are everywhere, and with Civil War fakes/replicas having been churned out for a good 50-60 years now some of the older ones have accumulated enough honest age to become even more deceptive. In antiquities, fakes and replicas have been prevalent since the mid 19th century so stuff like Victorian era hand forged Medieval armor replicas or questionable Levantine artifacts bought by aristocrats from street hawkers while touring the Empire 120 years ago pose many problems today because of those extra decades of age and patination obscuring the fakery.

Be cautious but know that you can develop an expert eye for authenticity if you work at it and can get hands-on access to the real things to build your knowledge base upon. For me, willingness to question everything and accept when careful study reveals I've likely bought a fake allows one to grow and hone one's skills in ways that the goobers who see carved faces in natural rocks could never even begin to imagine.

Those tank shells are pretty badazz too BTW, I've always loved projectiles but keep getting sucked deeper into the pre-gunpowder era as the years go by, love it all though.
