World War 1 or 2 cuff button find!

Hello, Today's lunchtime hunt produced this small U.S World War 1 or 2 cuff button :headbang: It was about five inches down and rang on my Ace 250 as a quarter lock but came in wide and weak while pinpointing. The ground was dry and was coming up in hard clumps and after I pulled the last clump out, I saw the face of the button in the bottom of the hole. The back looks to read A M Button Co Newark, NJ. If anyone could narrow this down, I would appreciate it very much :icon_sunny: Thanks for reading :read2: Paul :coffee2:

Looks WW1 to me. Great find.
