Hello SE Michigan here.

Had a nice short hunt at the park today. Short 'cause it's very crowded and loud
(music, gas generators blaring) on the weekends. Nice 'cause I snagged
me a 1918 merc on my very first coin( yes about 20 feet from where I
found my SLQ yesterday.) I then went on to find a wheat and 2 memorials.
Decided I had enough of the noise and crowds and went home
and played pinochle(or is it spelled peaknuckle) me and my bro, for the
second saturday in a row won more than we lost. Good day, good hunt.

Good luck,

nice find, congrats on some silver  crazy how I cant even count how many times my first coin dug is the best of the hunt. good luck HH

Thanks all.

My very first merc was a 1917, about as worn as the 18', and it too was the very
first coin of the day, that was last Aug 22. I have this merc soaking in
salt water, wrapped in tinfoil( a little over 24 hours now) and it's cleaning
up good. Gonna hit that spot today, hopefully for 3 or more hours today.

Good luck,
HH.
